About me

I'm a professional musician, teacher, and s0und engineer. As a musician, I studied clarinet performance (BMus), bass clarinet (BMus), and jazz creative improvisation (MMus), and currently perform in a wide range of projects and ensembles which take me around the world for performances. Styles range from classical and jazz to folk and gypsy/klezmer, to more avant-garde free improvisation and performance art. As a teacher, I have been teaching (bass) clarinet and saxophone lessons for over 15 years to students ranging in age from 7-75. I teach privately and also in the classroom. I began my sound engineering at the Michigan State University Record Services department, and have since started my own company, specializing in live and on-location recordings of classical and jazz musicians. I have recorded many of the top musicians and ensembles in the Netherlands, and have run live sound on events such as the Amsterdam Jazz Festival.
