About me
I have 25 years’ experience in the live event industry, delivering across many sectors and business disciplines. I have worked with and managed production, digital and film, event management, exhibition management and design in delivering events and running a business on a day to day basis. I am a trained theatre set and lighting designer, moving into event production in 1999. I am a professional, trustworthy, strategic, diligent event operator both as a leader and team member. I have held senior management positions for the past several years, consistently improving many aspects of the business from time and cost efficiencies, commercial and procurement direction and business development, primarily the development and nurturing of incumbent clients. I have had years of business management, managing multi-purpose teams on a day to day basis, developing and mentoring junior members of staff as well as working alongside senior members of staff. My specialties include operational, commercial and procurement direction with a proven track record of increasing profitability, time efficiencies, budget control, purchasing methods and contract negotiations with both suppliers and clients. I currently manage all budgeting for events, exhibitions, film and digital projects. I have consistently delivered projects to a very high standard, I have nurtured and continued business relationships with all clients, account managing several clients that have grown and expanded. I have had many years’ experience working in many parts of the globe. When and where necessary, I have been instrumental in building and restructuring teams, recruiting both on a full time and freelance basis with always an eye on the strategic business plan. I work closely with the team when developing project and proposals ensuring that a high standard is delivered.

    Most recently as Group Production Director for Lodestar I have managed the business alongside the two shareholder directors and the FD looking after business strategy and smooth operational running. • Contributing to overall client strategy and growth plans for key accounts within the Fiat group (Jeep, Chrysler, Maserati) • Primarily responsible for the technical and production direction for all events, looking after supplier procurement and cost efficiency across the business. • After effective procurement processes I increased the GP over two years from 22% to 29% through purchasing and effective team and supplier management.
