About me
Jason Zibarras, the Managing Partner and Founder of Argo Infrastructure Partners, founded Argo in August 2013 to create an improved way to match the infrastructure needs of institutional investors with an investment model and structure which was both simpler and reduced risk. Zibarras has overseen billions invested in high quality, essential infrastructure businesses, managing more than $6bn of capital on behalf of institutional partners. Notable deals closed include the recent signing alongside Brookfield of a landmark 10-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Tennessee Valley Authority. Jason Zibarras believes in combining impressive investment returns within a responsible and sustainable framework. Environmental, social and governance best practices are continually integrated into financial and management processes with Argo awarded by Standard and Poors the first “E1” Green Evaluation. Prior to founding Argo, Jason Zibarras served between 2007-2013 as Managing Director and Global Chief Investment Officer of Infrastructure Investment Group at J.P. Morgan Asset Management. Zibarras was responsible for managing the Group’s existing portfolio of investments and a multi-billion-dollar equity portfolio, leading the Group's European investment activities while successfully navigating the Group during the headwinds of the 2008 financial crisis. In 2013, Zibarras led JPM Infrastructure Investment Fund’s acquisition team in the purchase of two Australian regional airports. Zibarras also served as a member of the Investment Committee and Chaired the Group’s Operating Committee. Jason Zibarras started his career in 1995 at ING Baring. His responsibilities included the origination and execution of infrastructure advisory, arranging of debt and equity capital and private finance for global opportunities. Landmark transactions included the sell side advisory during the privatisation of Brussels Airport and the restructuring of Ajman Utilities and John Laing plc. He also was an Executive Producer on the 2023 film The Kill Room, starting Uma Thurman and Samuel L Jackson.
