I joined Langland on the 10th of November 2014, hired as a middle-weight designer with aspirations of moving on to become an art director in the coming years. I work together with Head of Art - Andrew Morley on companies such as Bayer, Abbott Nutrition and Astellas just to name a few. I have been working on re-branding certain branches of these companies as well as creating integrated campaigns which run across both digital and print media. Our work is overseen by Creative Director - Andrew Spurgeon.
I finished a two month freelance contract at M&C Saatchi London where we created promotional books for a development company by the name of Capital & Counties Properties PLC. The books were 70 page hard cover K-Bound books intended for promotional use for potential investors and property buyers.
At Gorilla I worked together with Craig Miles (Senior Art Director) to make sure all the work that leaves our agency is on brand and communicates a clear and concise message. Some clients I worked on while at Gorilla are Shield, Toni & Guy, Lux, Ponds, Clear, Stork, Hansa Pilsener, Axe & MTN. We work closely with account managers in order to clearly direct designers and ensure the end product is what the client is looking for while being true to the agency.
I joined the W&Y team as a designer & art direction understudy to Clint de Goede (Creative Director). The company was undergoing a rebranding as I got employed and this was one of my first tasks there. While busy on the visual identity of the company I worked closely with the account managers on other jobs such as creating the look and feel for the Illovo Sugar website & internal branding. I was also given the task of re-branding a local gym as another visual identity project.
In February 2012 my friend & I officially started our advertising agency. We worked closely with our clients which included retail companies, restaurants, environmental conferences, musicians, furniture companies and accounting firms. My job within the company was coordinating & executing briefs from all existing customers, from conceptualisation to finished product whether it be print or web.
I joined the footwear department at Crucialtrade 51 in the menswear division. I worked closely with the buyers and coordinators to get the right product to our customers quickly & effectively. This experience gave me valuable knowledge of the supply chain & fast pace of the fashion industry. I also created visual identities for various fashion brands which are on sale now at Stylemology.com
