About me
I’m a creative and determined individual who loves to research and experiment with a wide range of different processes. I’m a textile-led fashion designer who loves to blend tradtional methods with modern techniques. Over the last four years I’ve developed my own individual style from a variety of sources. My style is bold, non-conformist, and forward thinking, whilst at the same time disciplined. I am very confident with Adobe Illustrator and Phototoshop. I keep to deadlines and have a strong work ethic.
Projects
  • Untamed Eden
Untamed EdenGraduate collection. Untamed Eden is a bombastic explosion of embroidered, painted, laser-cut and 3D printed flowers adorning a young and contemporary womenswear collection. The name of this collection references the lushness of the biblical garden of the Old Testament. Understated fashion pieces act as canvases for exuberant, vividly coloured botanical prints and constructed textiles. The collection takes inspiration from sixties and seventies simple silhouettes which are paired with unconventional materials. From leather to crepe de chine, and jump rings to laser-cut acrylic, it is a celebration of materials, colour, craft, drawing and painting. Scale and texture are interwoven with experimental and classical processes. French knots, braided leather, chain, hand coloured metals, and 3D printed floral designs are layered with vibrantly printed and painted textiles, combining to create dresses that have a sense of fun and opulence. The colour palette is a joyful mixture of spearmint green, firecracker red, and tangerello, with touches of claret, custard yellow, verde green, and fuschia. Hibiscus, poppies, and Stargazer lilies are rendered in intense detail firstly using drawing materials, and then through digital technologies are transformed into an explosion of line and colour. The woman who wears my clothes is happy to be a walking piece of art, she wants to be looked at, and then looked at again. The clothes are statement pieces, which makes them ideal for stylised fashion or advertisement photography, or as stage wear. The pieces I have created will suit any figure; the only accessory required is confidence.
