Currently within my role as an Artworker intern for Signet I understand the process of creating accurate artwork and have gained practical experience in a fast paced in-house Design Studio, creating cutting edge graphic design and multimedia suitable for the watch and jewellery retail industry. I am responsible for preparing images for homepages, newsletters, social feeds and catalogues. I have had experience creating and retouching artwork for: POS, Direct Mail, Brand & Marketing Campaigns, Email & Web Design and Interactive Media
• Experience working in a fast paced wholesale agency, managing social media platforms: motelrocks, neon rose, dead lovers, lovestruck, rock and religion and qupid shoes @REDALERTFF • Attending trade shows and liaising with marketing and sales for stock • Designing newsletter e-mails for new collections and current stock availability. • Construct and develop lookbooks/linesheets for all brands • Maintaining showroom at all times. Greeting buyers, writing orders, steaming collections, packing and pricing new collections, merchandising and re-merchandising the showroom, and answering the phone. • Updating showroom POS with new images/press images.
• Strong commercial awareness and knowledge of retail fashion accessories • Representing the prestigious brand at all times demonstrating excellent customer service and helping customers with queries. • Product Knowledge – In-depth understanding of jewellery and watches. This included after care, individual brands background history and new launches to maximise sales. • Ability to work as a key member of the team and able to multitask in a fast paced environment.
As a Communications Intern my role was to assist the press team in the day to day running’s of the press office. During my time there I was heavily involved with all the designer fragrances, as well as the Michael Kors Cosmetics Collection and the Tory Burch Beauty Collection. This role allowed me to design promotional material for journalists and creative concepts for various send outs. Other duties included: • Assisting in the maintenance of the press database and digital press cuttings archive, scanning and archiving press coverage. • Press releases writing, layout and sell-in to journalists. • Co-ordination of sample send-outs and returns. • Constantly monitoring all social media platforms and constructing methods of increasing brand awareness.
