I am a passionate, creative and hardworking Art Director and Designer who is reliable and totally committed to their work. With over 18 years experience, I am con?dent in all aspects of design, layout, photography, repro, production, print and digital campaigns with a versatile range of skills. I am a personable and enthusiastic team player, a good communicator with an analytical and logical mind and an excellent timekeeper and organiser who thrives under pressure.
I currently work as a Senior Designer in-house for this high-end British interiors retailer. Responsible for all printed design collateral for the brand, the role also entails art-directing shoots and ensuring the photography remains on brand and on budget. In addition, I work on a range of seasonal creative projects that market the brand and promote its growth and awareness, from magazines and advertising campaigns to POS and product packaging.
Worked as a Senior Creative in-house and agency-side for a range of different clients and brands across print and digital campaigns on work ranging from catalogues /magazines to POS, digital, marketing and promotion.
Managing the Art Department in London for this art gallery and auctioneers, I was responsible for the concept, design, layout and production of all print and digital material for the brand and promotional collateral for every auction - including catalogues, magazines, invites, digital editions, advertising campaigns, POS and signage.
As head of the art desk and manager of the in-house creative department, I was responsible for the entire visual identity of the Alison at Home home interiors, publishing and lifestyle brand. This encompassed the concept, design and layout of the quarterly supplements for The Daily Telegraph, quarterly magazine, product packaging for the homeware range, product catalogues, website and marketing collateral. My role also included art direction of all brand photoshoots and video content to ensure visual consistency across the brand and its photography. I also managed the retouching, repro and production of all print projects in-house.
Whilst on contract at this communications and branding agency, I worked primarily on print campaigns for British Airways, Royal Bank of Scotland, Compass Group and Restaurant Associates. This included work on material such as internal magazines, invites, promotional material, signage and POS.
Whilst on contract at this global advertising agency I worked on major campaigns for Subway, Rowntrees, American Express, Windows Phone, HTC & Microsoft Xbox.
I worked with clients such as BSkyB, Vodafone and The Prince’s Trust on a range of material from magazines and publications, DM, packaging, POS and in-store theatre to press and national advertising campaigns.
During this period, I freelanced across a range of different projects in the publishing and advertising industries for a range of di?erent publications, brands and clients.
Whilst on contract at the University, I worked on the design, launch and roll-out of the new brand identity across a range of different media to all corporate materials. All projects included budgeting, project management and sourcing photographers and illustrators.
Worked within the Guardian’s in-house creative agency on a number of creative projects and sponsored magazine supplements for both the editorial and commercial departments. I also worked on the national advertising campaigns for the Guardian and Observer brands (Weekend Magazine, Observer Magazine, Observer Food Monthly) as well as work on partnerships such as Glastonbury Festival and Hay Festival.
Leading the creative department, I was responsible for the entire visual design and layout of the Guardian Weekly and monthly supplements. I also managed the day-to-day running of the art desk, the creative budget and workflow. In addition, I organised all contributors and photoshoots. As Senior Designer, I was the lead creative on all design work for the promotion of the newspaper across a multitude of different media.
In my role at this publishing and media company, I worked on the design, layout and production of four quarterly nationwide magazines. This included all imaging and repro work, which was completed in-house.
