Responsible for the brand, I support the Marketing Manager and the Sales and Marketing Team to ensure the smooth co-ordination, design and delivery of creative briefs and marketing collateral across all student residences in the UK and EMEA. Design, create and manage marketing campaigns, including email, outdoor and internal bookings. Work closely with the Digital Marketing Executive to produce designs and graphics for the website and social media. Maintain the company brand, style and expectations to ensure all marketing collateral is of the highest standard. Keep abreast of design trends and new advertising and marketing opportunities. Undertake competitor analysis to track activity by keeping abreast of market changes and brand developments. Manage freelance designers and junior artworker.
Independent, UK based graphic designer Jen Devonshire works collaboratively with both clients and individuals ranging in industry from artists, creatives and independent art galleries to high end hospitality companies,to produce intelligent, effective and conceptually inspired visual communication design. Working freelance for individuals and organisations across the UK, clients include The List Magazine, CCA Glasgow, Radiate, Barbican Arts Centre, Pentagram and WWF UK, Lady Teal Hotel Boat and Holiday Inn Theatreland.
• Design and art direction of bi-monthly List magazine, annual Edinburgh Festival Guide and three weekly Festival Issues in month of August covering the Edinburgh Fringe. • Managing and delivering high quality design, creating both editorial and advertising designs across numerous in-house and externally commissioned publications for The List. • Design infographics and illustrational styles. • Produce print-ready PDFs for print and liaise with Production Manager, Publisher and Director. • Design and produce marketing materials, including media packs, house adverts, brochures and supplements. • Provide company-wide support to staff on designs tasks. • Collaborative trouble-shooting to meet specs and deadlines across print and digital.
• Produce digital advertising designs and developing visual concepts for digital and marketing materials for in-house and external client requirements for integrated advertising campaigns, from banner advertisements to e-newsletter content, across industry-standard web formats and bespoke List formats. • Design print for layout and advertising for in-house and external client requirements across various formats for The List Magazine and multiple supplements, including The Edinburgh Festival Guide—with additional Festival issues produced weekly in August—The Larder, Student Guide and Wish List. • Populate and content manage weekly HTML e-newsletter templates and advertising campaigns. • Designed new templates for internal specification, rate cards and pitch documentation. • Work alongside Senior Digital Designer, liaising with Sales and Production teams, as well as with clients to discuss designs and requested changes. • Keep to project deadlines, deliver tasks on time as per advertising schedules. • Keep on top of new developments in digital design and affective advertising campaigns.
