my main responsibilities at Moose Coffee Manchester is to maintain the bar area of the cafe and to consistently deliver high quality hot and cold drinks to each customer. Unlike my previous barista experiences, this job also requires me to wait on tables, collecting food orders and delivering them to the kitchen staff; which demands a high level of communication and listening skills, which I think I possess and convey daily. This job not only develops my listening and communication skills, it also allows me to work as part of a team to deliver a high standard of customer service while maintaining a pleasant working atmosphere
As a full-time barista for Ground Espresso Bars, I was expected to serve customers with a friendly attitude and to create a welcoming environment within the cafe itself through my actions. I was also expected to make hot and cold drinks (and to make fresh sandwiches from the deli bar) to the company's' brand standard, which includes the brew bar; which requires an extensive knowledge of coffee, not only the blends that we use, but also the entire process of picking to roasting, showing that I take an interest in whichever job I am in. I was constantly in charge of cleaning rotas and have a responsibility to ensure my job performance is up to the company's high standards. I enjoy being a barista and serving the public; it is a job in which customer service is of monumental importance, as is being warm and engaging, as well as working well as part of a close knit team.
I studied 10 GCSE's and at A-level, I studied History, Classical Civilisation and Tecnology & Design.
