    Graphic Communication Leader
     - 
    During my time as Graphic Communication leader for the Service Office, I art directed and created artwork from the idea stage through to implementation in both the Perth and Adelaide stores. Liaising closely with my team members at Head Office and in the stores enabled me to produce the highest level of artwork to drive the IKEA brand. I incorporated my wealth of knowledge of the IKEA brand and concept (which is an essential part of working for the company) together with my extensive knowledge of the design process to create successful in-store and external communication. Resulting in building consumers’ perception of the IKEA Brand as unique and consistent. Responsibilities • Art directing, developing, planning and implementing store communication • Maintaining strong communication with internal and external team members • Developing external marketing communication • Developing and evaluating store communication guidelines and strategies • Delegation of artwork to store Designers • Creating copywrite • Conceptualising and designing store activity collateral • Adapting Globally supplied communication on a local level to meet the business needs • Organisation of internal and external printing • Designing, updating and production of buying guides and brochures • Supporting the training and development of team members and store Graphic Designers • Website module design • Art direction of photo shoots for IKEA Food • Ensuring all communication complies with the IKEA concept Key achievements: • Re-direction of agency brochure artwork back to in-house, resulting in a $10,000 saving per brochure ($70,000 per annum) • Restructure of the briefing and sign off process resulting in zero printing errors in my time with IKEA • Art direction and creation of the new look for “Activity” collateral • Art direction and creation of “colour buying guide” which stimulated customer interest and increased sales of the promoted products

    I initially joined the Crown Marketing Department in August 2012 to assist with the re-branding project. My contract was later extended to enable me to work on the ongoing marketing of the new brand. During my time in the Marketing Department I was responsible for the following areas: Responsibilities • Working in partnership with Account Managers to develop concepts • Art directing and designing the production of new concepts • Creating copywrite • Re-branding all collateral for both print and web, resort wide from The Burswood Entertainment complex to Crown Casino • Conceptualising and designing ongoing collateral for resort wide promotions • Brainstorming and creating artwork and theming for the Meridian Room – An exclusive gaming room • Organisation of internal and external printing • Uploading and management of the resort plasma screens Key achievements: • A highly successful transition in the re-branding from Burswood to Crown • Completing large volumes of work under tight deadlines • Art Directing for the look and feel of the Meridian Room
