About me

I am a creative professional currently living and working in Glasgow, with skills in art, design, art development, project coordination, programming, fundraising, arts administration, marketing, events organisation, workshop hosting and education programming, invigilation, and front of house assistance. I am currently based within Glasgow Sculpture Studios in Glasgow. I have a cross-disciplinary practice comprised of sculpture, illustration, and installation. My independent work explores our part within a broad scope of natural systems, and uses natural systems as a metaphor for community. I am interested in particular in the way communities form, develop and bridge, the ways can we adapt for longevity, as part of a broader natural system.

  • I have a cross-disciplinary practice comprised of sculpture, illustration, and installation. My work explores natural systems, materials and patterns and structures that exist on a universal, timeless basis. I use these connections as a metaphor for a long purview of time, community, connectivity and environments. I am interested in particular in the way communities form, develop and bridge, the ways can we adapt for longevity, as part of a broader natural system. I currently produce installations for events, host public workshops, create prints and commissioned artworks, and collaborate with architects and designers in creating temporary, often interactive, public spaces.

  • Designing, building and installing an interactive installation using recycled and reclaimed materials, to coincide with themes explored in a series of workshops by Daniel Serridge of The Village Storytelling Centre, as part of the Simon Community’s 50th Anniversary Celebration. The installation looked at connections between giant folklore and homelessness, and presented questions posed in Serridges’s storytelling workshops. The installation took viewers on a journey through claustrophobic and overwhelming, alienating spaces, and guided them towards more comforting and emancipating outcomes and affirmative statements taken from responses to the stories featured in the workshops.

The project involved collaborative coordination and organisation, design, development, structural consideration, sourcing materials, on-site construction, marketing, signage design, ongoing safety checks while the installation was open to the public, and de-stallation.
