Within this role, I specialise in leading graphic design and brand-focused projects. This involves the creation of electronic email communications and promotional campaigns from concept to implementation and monitoring their effectiveness. I take ownership for the management of any design-related initiatives and I am solely responsible for the creation of interactive graphics and marketing communications using the Adobe Creative Suite – primarily Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. This responsibility extends to copywriting effective content tailored to provoke action from the recipients. I am solely responsible for the building and testing of marketing materials and e-newsletters. I ultilise my technical knowledge of HTML and CSS to write bespoke emails, designed as required to be responsive to media devices such as mobile phones and tablets. I have recently been involved in the creation of a series of segmented HTML email communications, which are drip-marketed via our CRM system, to generate sales. I am fully competent with WordPress and have been in charge of website creation on behalf of the company. For example I recently designed and built www.firstaidcoursesuk.co.uk to promote and support a new area of the business. I have also been responsible for designing WordPress websites on behalf of clients who have qualified through Future Fit Training, as part of a Career Support package. To ensure that the potential customer has a good user experience, I apply basic UX principles to my design work, and frequently include user friendly facilities such as navigational buttons below the fold to redirect back to an enquiry capture form. I have undertaken substantial events management responsibilities within this role, taking ownership for the production of marketing materials for a range of events including open days and award ceremonies. I have also attended and assisted with the running and management of such events. I identify target audiences and design tailored marketing communications in response to their position within the buying process. This would include conversion facilities for new enquiries via PPC, or alternatively details of discounts and promotions for established contacts. I have a continuous requirement to generate new ideas for marketing activities, in order to ensure that campaigns always engage prospects with fresh content and visually appealing calls to action. This applies to all platforms from event support documents to website landing pages. Brand positioning is a key feature of all of the work that we produce. I ensure that any branded materials conform to guidelines, even as part of the most innovative design styles. This role is one that requires an ability juggle deadlines, work under pressure and deliver to a project plan, within budgeted time frames.
This role enabled me to apply my broad skill set to a wide array of marketing responsibilities across online and offline media platforms, including Graphic Design, Web Design, Campaign Management, Search Engine Optimisation, Social Media, Copywriting, Marketing Analysis, researching new markets and building strong business relationships with affiliate organisations. I undertook full responsibility for the creation of branded marketing materials to increase brand awareness and to ensure that the company brand was positioned consistently across all online and offline media platforms. This role also enabled me to develop and enhance my skills in design, and I was responsible for the creation and production of advertising materials including banner ads, branded exhibition materials, HTML templates for email campaigns, PowerPoint presentations, posters, and company literature, plus liaison with the printers and suppliers of these materials. During my time within this organisation I took ownership for the delivery of target Key Performance Indicators through the use of effective Email, SEO and Social Media strategies and campaigns.
