I’m Jennifer, an energetic, colourful conceptual designer, art director and illustrator based in London. I have over 10 years of experience working across the FMCG, entertainment and fashion industry. By day I work at Social Life as Lead Designer working on Netflix UK projects and creating their social campaigns. By hustle, I work on freelance creative projects and illustrations for clients. I have a multi-discipline skill set, from digital design to motion graphics and integrated campaigns. Highly conceptual, I thrive in fast-paced environments and I’m passionate about creative that really speaks to the audience and brings a bit of joy to daily life. I am a positive powerhouse and an active part of the creative industry often speaking at creative events, mentoring others, or taking part as a judge at creative awards like FRESH 18 & 19. Lead designer working for the Netflix UK brand channels focused on creating engaging content and strategic social campaigns for titles such as; The Crown, Sex Education, and The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. Working closely with the Netflix Brand & Editorial team, we create content in a fast-paced environment, reacting to cultural moments whilst balancing a number of large-scale social campaigns for Netflix's top titles.
Art Director and Designer within U-Studio, a creative agency onsite in Unilever, working on creative for their Beauty and Personal Care brands. I work across Unilever brands such as Axe (Lynx), Rexona (Sure), Radox, Signal, Zendium and Pears creating digital campaigns, conceptual designs, social content and e-commerce across their global accounts.
As the only in-house Graphic Designer, I worked across all areas of the brand on all UK and International projects. I was responsible for; brand development, creative campaigns, menu innovation, photography, motion graphics and digital design.
I worked across many brand led projects, including Amazon Japan. Regardless of being the only foreign employee, I overcame many cultural barriers and became lead designer working with clients and junior designers to create brand solutions. One of my main projects was as editor and art director for a monthly magazine for the fashion brand Mai. I was promoted to Head of Video and Motion Graphics, providing solutions for our clients through social and digital channels
I studied a wide range of digital arts including design, animation, video production and 3D design. In my final year I created a branding strategy for the punk band Melt Banana. The outcome of my project was a 2D music video which won the award for “Best Visual Design” from Realtime Worlds Ltd. I organised the marketing and PR for the final degree show. I graduated with a first class honors degree.
