I have attended several community events where I have used my artistic background to apply my skills and painted faces ranging from children to adults. Ranging from flowers/natural forms, to cartoons.
- London City store, Oxford Street flagship store, Shepherds bush Westfield store, (1 month work placement)- May 2014) -I was given the opportunity to complete a four week work placement focusing on visual merchandising in three of the largest House Of Fraser stores in London. Throughout the placement I helped to install their Spring/Summer schemes. This included handling mannequins and dressing windows, but it mainly gave me more confidence within the more practical, hands on side of visual merchandising.
• I was given the chance to be involved in a collaborative project with my university and Hackett London- to feature my own mannequin designs in their windows along with styling and props. My own sketches and images were also featured in the windows. This was an exciting experience and gave me a lot of confidence within the menswear styling field.
-The meadows store, Camberley. 2010-2012 -Marble Arch Flagship Store, Oxford St. 2013-2014 • Throughout my time at M&S I worked on a range of their departments, such as Lingerie, Ladies wear, Customer Services, Coffee shop, Foods, Visual Merchandising and finally, a menswear suit advisor. • Within being a sales assistant I was given the duty to handle cash, use tills, handle stock, man the fitting rooms and give great customer service. Throughout my time at M&S I have gained a lot of confidence with dealing with customers, I have a high standard of product knowledge, but mainly working for M&S has boosted my enthusiasm to want to work in the Visual Merchandising, retail world.
