Events executive with over 2 years’ experience in a marketing field gained in a variety of areas from account management to event management. Consistent high performance throughout my studies in business has allowed me to gain key transferable skills in communication, team working, leadership and problem solving, as well as driving me to achieve a First Class Honours in my degree. Whilst working at News UK I have been able to play a pivotal role in assisting the growth of The Times, The Sunday Times & The Sun by supporting key marketing campaigns through innovative event planning. My main roles include: - Independently managing multiple events from start to finish including on-the-day logistics & execution - Working closely with Marketing Managers & the Business Insight team and external agencies to understand our audiences and key marketing objectives, and devise a suitable event strategy to support these objectives within budget and often to a tight deadline - Managing all event collateral including advertisements (online & offline), branding and editorial content - Planning & delivering innovative activity and events, regularly reviewing results to improve their format & execution - Providing detailed post-event reviews to send to all major stakeholders including critical analysis, key performance measures & recommendations for future growth - Negotiating partnership and sponsorship deals with long-term partners including Sky, Vitality and BAFTA
My 12 month placement in a fast-paced agency taught me that I am hard-working and can cope under pressure. I was able to work with clients on a local and national scale, developing key marketing skills including, verbal and written communication, presentation, and team work. I also gained experience using key programs including Photoshop, Google Adwords, Google Analytics, Boradcast, Mailchimp & Gorkana. My main responsibilities included: - Managing my own accounts as well as supporting RKH’s major accounts including Taylor Wimpey, Intelligent Energy, IKEA, Everards & NFoPP - Providing the content and design for direct mail and e-marketing campaigns (SEM, PPC, social & email) - Managing several social media accounts, providing updates and responding to any customer queries - Presenting & pitching new campaign ideas to potential and existing clients - Coordinating & managing campaigns and events (online & offline), including managing budgets Monitoring competitor activity, and providing campaign data analysis and feedback to clients -Maintaining & updating client’s websites using several different content management systems. I also provided training sessions, teaching clients how to manage their own websites
