I started my career as a translator and proofreader in 2014 with a 6 months full-time employment at SEGA Europe Ltd, working as an Italian QA Tester, proofreading in-game and marketing contents. In 2015 I only dedicated myself to interpreting and then last year I worked as a in-house translator at Pole to Win UK on a 4 months project, translating a videogame from English into Italian and working with a team of 3 other Italian translators. I started working as a full-time freelance translator (and interpreter) in October last year. I've worked on a great amount of projects so far: In the medical field, I've transcribed about 25 English audio files into Italian; most of them were interviews made by marketing or pharmaceutical companies to physicians in regards to medical devices like those used for ERCPs or to neuromuscolar disorders, antibiotics, vaccines, etc. I translate medical texts into Italian on a weekly basis and some of the subjects I've worked on are instruction or installation manuals for medical devices, such as breast pumps, airway sunction devices, early mobilisation products, etc. In the legal field, I've translated a 10,000 words long purchase agreement, as well as birth and marriage certificates. I work in close contact with a modern art books publisher, and I translate introductory texts, flyers and correspondence on a regular basis for him. I've transcribed about 20 English audio files into Italian on subjects such as Buddhism, religion in general and art. I've transcribed about a dozen audio files relating to football and tennis. I'm currently also working with a gaming company, translating and proofreading in-game and marketing contents (about 20,000 words so far). I translate marketing contents for a famous retail chain on a regular basis, including their monthly journal. Occasionally I work as a copywriter, either creating ads for search engines or creating marketing contents for online companies. I also have some subtitling experience, both as a translator and as a proofreader and I've worked on a few TV shows episodes.
