Direct link between design and the customer. I work closely with both the design and buying teams across all brands to create over 250 trend lead and on brand fully accessorised outfits per phase. These outfits are primarily used for dot com but are also used across the whole business for catwalk activity, in store screens, marketing, decor and our style and living pages. Working closely with our photography team at Spring studios I ensure the outfits are brought to life to reflect the creative for each brand and the accessories reflect the design brief for each story. With recent developments on our website I have been heavily involved in the test shoots and signing off of new creative from a styling perspective to highlight any key styling details to differentiate the brands. Each brand has a very distinct identity which I have to be aware of when styling to make sure they work as a capsule collection within M&S. This has given me a large cross section of product to work with and a range of ages, styles and price points. I have also been involved in the outfitting for our in store trend screens, attending the fits and shoot to oversee the styling and accessorising of our outfits are true to the global trends defined by the business. As a team we have been heavily involved in press activity, gathering product for lookbook and press day and supporting on adhoc press requests. Working as team lead on the SS15 lookbook I won an Inspiring award for the handling and dealing of the product and the overall management of the project. We also support on all live catwalk activity and any adhoc outfitting requests for loyalty mailer or employee magazine. Ongoing research with competitors, editorials and catwalks ensures I am constantly up to date with any key styling trends and am able to influence the outfitting direction on shoots.
Working as a freelance fashion and still life stylist I primarily worked for Burberry as a non-apparel and childrenswear stylist, as well as freelancing for ASOS, Spring Creative, Hobbs and editorial shoots.
