    Head of Technology CommunicationsTesco Ltd.
Welwyn Garden City, United KingdomFull Time
In this newly created role, I have devised and implemented a communications strategy in order to showcase the work done within Tesco’s Technology department to internal and external audiences, in alignment with Tesco’s mission, products, image and values, and to external partners - whether they be within the retail industry, in academia, technology providers or start-ups. I lead and work alongside international agile teams and agencies to design, deploy and maintain marketing and communications campaigns, and support both directors and the CTO. I am responsible for leading specific strategic projects, using highly advanced technical knowledge to create and test a framework for strategy and long-term plan development. I budget manage for these campaigns, as well as a range of events sponsorship and participation opportunities annually. I also work in a Product Marketing capacity, supporting internal technical product teams with the development of clear and insightful material, content and presentations for a variety of audiences. In addition to this, I manage a range of internal all-hands events, for both our UK Technology colleagues and globally. Working directly with directors and the CTO, I am responsible for curating content, designing the event structure and briefing speakers. I have also been involved in wider initiatives - outreach programmes with local schools which involve teaching children the importance of STEM subjects (read more at goo.gl/oUoDn5), running the Tesco Women in Technology network (goo.gl/X6H8e6), and participating in a range of activities designed to promote diversity in Technology.
