  • Shuffle Festival is a community-focused art, science and film festival operating in Mile End. It aims to promote the importance of quality public spaces, and to connect people within these spaces. It's run by a small group of individuals and aided by hundreds of volunteers. It was born in 2013 in the grounds of St Clements Hospital - a derelict former workhouse and psychiatric hospital in the heart of Mile End. It currently operates from the beautiful Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park, London's most urban woodland. We have been funded by the Wellcome Trust, Canary Wharf Group and The Arts Council. I was part of the small team that run Shuffle, and designed and built our structures, signage, graphics & website. I was also extensively involved in the planning and production process.
