As part of the marketing team, my role focusses on producing and maintaining all client facing literature. This includes the upkeep of the website, promotional literature, and carrying out any relative requests from clients. I am in direct contact with the clients to understand their requirements and tailor the marketing resources to their customer profile. I oversee corporate public relations, ensuring all published articles portray the company correctly, are up to date and at the forefront of appropriate articles and press commentary. I arrange the quarterly newsletter, writing feature articles and formatting it to maximise open rate. I am also looking into a social media campaign for the company, integrating LinkedIn and Twitter to increase brand awareness. As client entertainment is seen as a key marketing resource, I also spend a lot of time researching, organising and managing various corporate events. My role also entails developing new products within the company. I liaise with external suppliers to discuss the product requirements and tailor it to our business model. I then create a marketing campaign around its launch and work with the account managers to pitch to both existing and potential clients.
I was responsible for a large number of client accounts, which required management on a daily basis. My role included market research for content, targeting followers to increase the clients’ customer reach and advising on strategy; for example competitions to increase brand awareness. This was done across multi-platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and Google+. As a manager, I also had the responsibility of developing client relationships through continual dialogue, emails and face to face meetings. I analysed clients’ marketing requirements and advised on social media strategies, tailored to their specific markets. To diversify my role in the company, I also wrote blogs which featured on the company website. These blogs were all on the topic of social media and allowed me to regularly research updates and changes within the industry. I recruited three new employees into the company, whom I oversaw.
