My role involves managing the day-to-day account handling and delivery of client contracts through marketing activity, as well as being responsible for the strategy planning of marketing campaigns across over 10 international events. • Managing external relationships with key clients such as UK Trade & Investment, Virgin Media and overseas embassies, some with value in excess of £5m each • Responsible for managing a £250k+ budget • Digital marketing campaign delivery – including automated emails (Marketo), web content management (ASP), Salesforce, social media platforms and paid search and social. • Ensuring campaigns run to strict deadlines and are on budget • Line manager as well as a mentor for intern programme • Utilising existing clients and contacts to generate new business opportunities • Proactively assessing clients’ needs throughout campaigns and contract, in order to meet and exceed client expectations as well as presenting campaigns to high profile clients • Identifying key audiences and creating long-term strategies to reach and influence them by using integrated and innovative campaigns across multiple sectors • Strategy and campaign planning for over 10 large scale international events including exhibitions and conferences • Managing the brand awareness campaigns through BTL advertising including DM campaigns, telemarketing, and sales promotions, as well as all digital promotion, including web, email & social • Project managing campaigns from inception to delivery, spanning approx. 6-12 months each, including sole responsibility for a full rebranding project, liaising with multiple internal and external stakeholders at different levels • Qualitative and quantitative reporting and monitoring client marketing campaigns
• Responsible for creating high profile sponsorship packages and marketing collateral to secure partnerships with global organisations – one example of this has a commercial value in excess of £2.1m • Generating sales leads through segmented email marketing campaigns contributing to a 42% increase in generated leads from the previous show cycles • Delivering high quality marketing collateral to support ten large scale global exhibitions, including onsite use as well as pre and post show with a reach of over 300,000 businesses and individuals • Managing multiple external suppliers, such as designers, printers and fulfillment companies • Proof-reading and copy writing for key pieces of collateral • High level administration to support senior staff and directors
I directly supported the Marketing Manager as well as taking individual ownership of marketing campaigns to members and non-members. Responsible for copywriting, proofing, and creating campaign briefs as well as liaising with designers and printers on a daily basis. I managed a series of seminars from inception to delivery, and a number of new-member events, designed to generate extra revenue for the business.
I spent the summer managing a team of 6 Camp Counsellors to provide care for large groups (20-50) of children aged 7-16.
My role included interacting with members and non-members within the motor industry, gaining sponsorship for annual events, booking appointments for colleagues with clients as well as selling membership to a variety of audience, and achieved the highest conversion rate for non-paying members to paying members.
Studying for my Geography BA has given me the necessary transferable skills to apply to a range of industries including marketing, business development and advertising. My degree gave me the opportunity to work individually and within a team on multiple projects that exposed me to a range of anthropological, geographical and political topics. I was assessed using a variety of methods and conducted my dissertation using a range of techniques including qualitative and quantitative research focusing on the impact of digital shopping customer experiences on small town businesses and the wider UK economy.
I was a key member of the team (4 people) that won the Top Right Marketing Team of the Year award, up against marketing teams within companies like Lions Festivals (Cannes Lions), EMAP and WGSN.
