- Happy Beagle ProjectWithin Korea in 2015, 9,967 dogs were used in experiments to test products such as shampoo. Because of the toxicity of the tests, dogs as such as Beagles can lose both of their eyes. After this, the dogs are often euthanized. This project, called the “HAPPY BEAGLE Campaign” was made to increase awareness of laboratory tests made upon the beagle in Korea, and to engage the Korean society with the adoption of the Beagles, demystifying any associated prejudice.
