Jo is a London-based director and producer of broadcast promos and commercials, brand content and film. Jo has created video content for clients such as TedX, Film4, QVC, UK Jewish Film, Clarins, Harrods, London Fashion Week, and for brands including Skechers, Decleor, Kipling, Radley and Acer through QVC. Jo also frequently works as a 1st AD on film productions. Forthcoming projects include the 2016 web-series Sweet Grass City Farm, a situational based comedy chronicling the attempts of the team running a city-based farm as they scramble to win a grant for sustainable, bio-dynamic farming operations. Jo has a BA (Hons) film degree from Manchester University and studied filmmaking at New York Film Academy. She has worked for several London production houses in script development and production assisting. On the sly and on the side, Jo is creative director of HITCHD Video, presents talks at film festivals, hosts a radio show on Shoreditch Radio, writes film retrospectives for Kubrick on the Guillotine zine and teaches filmmaking to disadvantaged young people in association with Create Arts Charity.
Creating innovative promos, editorial content, inserts and VTs for broadcast on QVC UK, QVC US and European QVCs from script-writing, concept and pitching through shoot production and post. Required to liaise with brands, buyers and talent, producing high standard cross-platform content on a regular basis. Project management including client care, budgeting, and leading studio-based and on-location sets.
