About me
I have a Bachelors of Arts in photography and 10 years of experience in the fashion and advertising world. I’ve applied my vast lighting and digital colour knowledge into my own film projects. My transition into filmmaking began after working on the Golden Globe winning film My Week with Marilyn, starring the Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne and Michelle Williams. Working as a director/cinematographer feels natural because the projects combine all of my passions and artistry. Freelancing for many years has widened my expertise and I am constantly seeking opportunities to grow and expand my visual story telling. I have made films for top brands including, Mulberry, Avon and Next. Having the honour of interviewing the Nigerian novelist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie for Elle India was a humbling experience. Two years ago, I had a vision of writing and directing a short film about female empowerment and cultural diversity. My debut short film ROOTS was showcased online within the top 10 entries for exceptional filmmaking, in the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in 2018. ROOTS has also been screened in London and internationally in New York, Maharashtra and Barbados as well as other destinations around the world.

  • ROOTS
ROOTSROOTS was showcased online within Cannes Lions top 10 entries for exceptional filmmaking. This is my first directorial short which I wrote, directed and produced. This was a really personal story I wanted to make and share with the world. Accompanied solely by music and no dialogue the story surrounds a teenage girl on one Summers day. I wanted to make a film which celebrated black culture, diversity, womanhood, adolescence, sport and being undefined.
