  • Doodle Land
Doodle LandMaster's degree final project, designed at Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, under the supervision of professor Gra?ka Lange. "How does a city operate? Permanently. From dusk till dawn. From the perspective of a pedestrian and from a bird's eye view. In macro and micro scale. In short, it works totally and it is difficult to show in a reliable way, how does it happen. But Joasia managed to do it. Her archetypical city - New York, ?ód?, Berlin, Warsaw and Vienna in one - includes everything typic
  • Odd city. Lodz between 1821-1939
Odd city. Lodz between 1821-1939Master's degree final project, Book Design Studio, Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Poland. For my master's degree project I wrote and designed a book about my home city ?ód? and its history between 1821 and 1939. During this period the city was inhabited by four nations: Poles, Germans, Russians and Jews. After 1821 the small town quickly became a modern industrial centre. A constant influx of workers, businessmen and craftsmen from all over Europe transformed ?ód? into the main textile production centre, that was now considered a 'promised land'. The books consists of four parts, attached togheter and translated into four languages. Each part is inspired by one of the nations and its role in the development of the city. Additionaly, the book is illustrated by prints of archive leaflets, posters, letters and newspapers, that take the reader on a journey to the past. Nowadays, in the city of ?ód?, it is almost impossible to find any obvious signs of its rich and complicated history, that ended tragically in the 1939. There are no loger any russian signboards, german newspapers or jewish synagogues. Therefore the book is a guide, or a diary, about ?ód?'s unique history.
  • Warszawa Centralna
Warszawa CentralnaIn October 2013, together with Aneta Lewandowska, I was selected a winner of the national design contest for new visual identity of the primary railway station in Warsaw, Poland. The winning visual identity of the brand includes: logotype, stationery and promotional items. In our project the minimalist design is combined with the retro twist, both inspired by the modernist architecture of the station's building. In October 2014, our project was nominated for Good Design 2014 (polish: Dobry Wzór 2014), a competition for the best designed products and services on the Polish market, helded annualy by the Institute of Industrial Design.
