About me
Experienced leader and musician with a diverse background in operations management, creative production, and arts education. Former Head of Operations at Studio Grey, an award-winning professional portrait photography studio in Central London, where I streamlined daily operations and optimized resource management to ensure efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. I also worked closely with the creative team to deliver high-quality projects for corporate clients, enhancing their visual identity through exceptional headshots, portraits, and documentary images. Holding a BA(Hons) in Music Composition and an MA in Music and Audiovisual Cultures, I bring over 13 years of experience as a professional musician and composer across various genres and media. My portfolio includes original compositions for contemporary music ensembles as well as commercial clients, such as The Economist. In addition to freelance music work, I have a strong background in music education, both in classroom settings and private tuition, and volunteer my time to tutor struggling students for free. As the founder and creative producer of PB&J Collective, I am deeply honoured to be able to collaborate with an amazingly talented team of individuals, all of whom are united by a shared background in Chinese traditional music as well as a passion for ethnomusicological research and multidisciplinary experimentation. Our work focuses on contemporary reinterpretations of traditional music, fostering a collaborative environment that explores innovative cultural frameworks and promotes creative collaboration. Passionate about cultural policy, I aim to leverage my skills and experience to contribute to impactful initiatives that support arts education, cultural preservation, and community engagement. I have shared insights as a guest speaker at international symposiums, such as the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music International Symposium's Southeast Asian Music Sessions (SEAMS), highlighting the intersections of traditional music and modernity, and its intercultural contexts. I am constantly seeking new challenges and opportunities to make a real-life impact through cultural policy initiatives. With a positive attitude, collaborative spirit, and a strong belief in the power of the arts, I am dedicated to fostering inclusive and dynamic cultural landscapes.
