Work history

Community Manager

Jun 2014 - Sep 2014
  • is a start-up company that provides a marketplace of gifts, for women. I was recruited to be a part of their small team in the fairly early stages of their business venture. Being present early on meant I was exposed to some elements of the business process that I wouldn’t necessarily have had the chance to experience in a more established company. For this reason, I found the three months I spent with the team extremely valuable. As Community Manager, my responsibilities included; • Managing all social media channels for the company in order to establish a strong brand presence. • Designing all promotional imagery and content for use on the site, leaflets, blog & social media ______ _______platforms using Photoshop. • Strategising promotions, working with the team and sellers on board to come up with offers and _______competitions. • Representing the company at networking events. • Loading products onto the site. • Helping to source potential sellers for the site who compliment the AskHerFriends’ brand essence.

Web Assistant & Press Assistant

Sep 2013 - Jun 2014
  • I was originally employed by ASOS on a four week contract, which was significantly extended. Initially I was hired as a Product Compliance Administrative Assistant, reporting to the Compliance Manager within the ASOS China Merchandising Team. This multi-faceted role crossed Buying and Merchandising, Garment Technology and Website Configuration; ensuring the products and the information provided for the website were compliant for the Chinese Market. During my time at ASOS I approached the PR department to gain some experience in their fast paced team as a PR Assistant. Whilst holding this position, my role consisted of; • Monitoring press coverage and ensuring the digital press database was constantly updated. • Daily analysis of press coverage of competitors. • Liaising with outside press teams and bloggers to ensure awareness of key trends for ASOS and providing samples where required. • Responsibility for maintaining sample log. • Maintaining digital press book. • Developing digital blogger database to be utilised by marketing teams. • Carefully selecting and compiling press gifting packs. Considering a strict budget criteria and ensuring the best representation of ASOS’ significant brand image.
