Education & Community Officer
Coordinated and administrated Discover’s outreach programme. Project managed a portfolio of projects under the supervision of the Head of Learning. Responsible for managing Discover’s Saturday morning club “Mighty Mega” for disabled children and their families and coordination and recruitment of the Children’s Forum. Recruited project participants and artists. Organised project events, and children’s awards ceremonies. Liaised with community organisations. Evaluated and monitored projects and provided this information to the Head of Learning, Head of Development and Joint Chief Executives for use in funding reports. Wrote reports to deadline for funders and supporters. Deputised for the Head of Learning both at Discover and externally. Worked with the whole team to ensure the successful development of Discover.

Preparing in house or outreach sessions based on the brief by the programme manager. Recruiting participants, establishing partnerships, managing volunteers, liaising with artists, guides, and art studio technicians. Organising photography and briefing photographers. Liaising with marketing and exhibitions departments for event coverage and information. Drafting documents for marketing purposes. Collating and recording progress reports for projects. Inviting guest curators from different London Galleries to talk at a Symposia series, including working in partnership with The Mental Health Foundation.
