Worked in a team on business development projects, primarily on an internal brief for internationally recognised fashion magazine, ELLE, on new ways to attract younger consumers and maximise revenue streams. Gained editorial experience through helping create visuals and writing content that fitted with ELLE’s brand and vision, both digitally for social media and for print. Commercial experience by communicating with Hearst and ELLE’s external clients and approaching potential new clients and PR opportunities, such as Amazon and Net-A-Porter. Developed some understanding of budgeting, profit/loss projections, licensing deals and marketing plans. Pitched our ideas and content in a final presentation with our research and insight in response to the brief, to the CEO, strategy team and LVMH.

A part time role alongside my studies, representing a magazine that focuses on social injustice issues in the unreported world, beyond mainstream journalism.
