I worked with the independent bookstore to plan and execute creative projects. A key highlight of this role was organising the 2014 and 2016 Singapore Art Book Fair, a contemporary art book fair that presented fifty publishers from Singapore and beyond. I also worked on other campaigns to increase book visibility islandwide, including the Book Vending Machine project.
I worked on the established publishing house's editorial desk over a summer internship, contributing to the latest guides for Copenhagen, Taipei and Barcelona. Throughout, I corresponded with overseas clients professionally, and honed my writing skills through content creation and proofreading responsibilities.
As a marketing and communications intern with the leading contemporary art fair in Southeast Asia, I managed the fair's social media platforms. I also did research into the algorithms working behind each site. My duties included crafting engaging social media content, and I implemented a series of weekly questions and a countdown meter.
