About me
I am currently Head of Video at The Inside Story. A UK based PR company that has deep roots within the Pro Audio world. Fusing both my passion for the arts and for moving image, I thrive on telling a narrative, be it musically or visually. Since joining The Inside Story I have enjoyed travelling the world working with amazing clients, such as NAMM, Bosch and TW Audio. Having completed a BA hons. degree in Illustration and Visual Media in 2016, I produced artwork for companies such as Hachette Press and Salt Publishing. My illustrations have been used on book and album covers, shirt designs and promotional materials. Among other accomplishments I have produced a 5 minute, 360 degree music video in Cinema 4D. To my knowledge it is the first fully CG, 360 degree performance video to be created. I have also made an audio and video live remix installation, which is fully gesture reactive which I would be happy to show you in person. Needless to say I enjoy thinking outside the box. I have self filmed, edited and composited a series of music videos which can be viewed here. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCB3ks2E-LIydvgRBa3m98fQ I have 25 years experience as a musician and have been working in the music industry since 2000. I have worked as a professional audio producer and engineer at various studios around London, including Bonafide and the George Martin owned AIR studios. I have been involved in recording and engineering numerous albums, EPs and individual songs for various independent record companies, signed and unsigned bands, through to engineering on the soundtrack of Richard Attenborough’s film, Closing the Ring. From 2000 to 2008 I managed and was the driving force behind Industrial Metal band Interlock, dealing with labels, tour agents, finances, merchandise and organising international tours. In 2005 I was instrumental in securing a worldwide Licensing deal with Anticulture records and released the critically acclaimed album “crisis//reinvention” in May of that year complete with a 12 page booklet featuring song writing, production, artwork and a massive multimedia section all created and designed by myself. Songs from that album went on to be playlisted on BBC Radio 1, MTV2, MVC Europe and Skuzz as well as numerous Internet music video and radio sites. In 2007 I booked and tour managed a tour of the UK and USA. The 8-week tour culminated in a show at France’s premier metal festival, Hellfest, supporting bands such as Korn, Slayer and Type O-Negative. Throughout this period I liaised with press, printers, booking agents and labels as well as dealing with extensive accounts, copywriting and email list management. I have a deep and varied background that I draw on, from playing onstage to 20,00 people in France, through to creating an animation for Ladybird Books for the inclusion in the 2015 London Design Week exhibition. This has instilled in me creative thinking and problem solving, with a view to achieve scheduled milestones and push myself to create whenever possible.
