About me
Jonathan is principal of WeShouldDoItAll (WSDIA), a contemporary design studio that translates clients’ needs into dynamic, visual systems that can be presented at multiple scales. These solutions take the form of branding, interactive, books, environmental or spatial projects. Jonathan has a multifaceted design portfolio, which includes environmental graphics and signage system for Nike’s new 150,000 sq.ft. headquarters in NY. Under the umbrella of Ralph Appelbaum & Associates, WSDIA is one of the lead exhibition design teams for the David Adjaye designed Smithsonian National Museum of African American History & Culture (NMAAHC), which opened on the Washington D.C. Mall in September 2016. Past clients include AIA NY Center for Architecture, Spotify, Art Directors Club of New York (ADC), Nike, University of Pennsylvania School of Design, Pandora Media, The New York Times Magazine, The Trust for Governors Island and ESPN. Jonathan has served as a visiting critic at Columbia University GSAPP, Pratt University, Rhode Island School of Design, and has lectured at AIA Cleveland, the University of Pennsylvania School of Design, The Art Directors Club, The Apple Store Soho, the University of Michigan Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning, AIGA/NY, Harvard Graduate School of Design, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in Lausanne, Switzerland, hosted by the Ecole Superieure Visual Merchandising Design (ESVMD) and at the UsByNight Design Festival in Antwerp, Belgium. Jonathan graduated from Kent State University with a degree in Architecture. He previously worked for architecture offices: Studio Archea in Florence, Italy, Archi-Tectonics/Winka Dubbeldam, Lindy Roy in New York, and served as a board member of AIGA/NY for 2 years.

    PENNDESIGN LECTURE POSTERSPENNDESIGN LECTURE POSTERS Since 2013, WSDIA has designed the Spring and Fall lecture series posters for PennDesign's Department of Architecture. The system typically uses consistent elements of black & white typography and craft paper, while occasionally collaborating with an illustrator to enliven the approach. In 2015, WSDIA also designed the Spring and Fall lecture posters for the overall PennDesign program. Client: PennDesign Department of Architecture
