• Managing all aspects of a busy media and communications department. This includes the club website, all social media platforms, video channels and a 68-page written publication, which is produced before every home fixture. • Maintaining eight different social media channels. I have launched four of those channels including Google Plus, Instagram, Vine and Snapchat. I have also overseen a significant increase in Twitter and Facebook followers during my time at the company. • Planning and delivering different PR and marketing campaigns. An example of this is when the club agreed to an international partnership with a team from Uzbekistan. • Liaising with all different departments at the football club and ensuring we are constantly drumming out positive news stories. • The main point of contact for the media and regularly sending out press releases ensuring we gain coverage locally, nationally and internationally. • Overseeing the entire media budget whilst also planning and creating content that will generate revenue for the football club. This includes a fortnightly meeting with the chief executive to provide a thorough media update
• In charge of producing a 68-page matchday publication for every Bolton Wanderers home fixture. • Editing the publication alone and ensuring it was sent to print with no margin for error. • Creatively coming up with content for each edition to make sure the reader was entertained. For example, having an interview with a different first team player in each edition. • Conducting primary research and writing articles, not just for the matchday publication but the official website too. • Involved in high profile public relation situations such as the club announcing record losses and dealing with numerous negative press and fan enquiries.
• Extensive use of digital platforms, being instrumental in Preston North End’s social media growth. • Producing content on a daily basis and using the club’s content management system to upload stories on to the website. • Preparing and delivering different marketing campaigns including season tickets and kit launches. • Creating content that provides revenue for the football club, whether that was a commercial, hospitality, community, merchandise or ticket story. • Filming and editing videos which were uploaded onto the club’s monthly subscription video channel, PNE Player, and also YouTube.
