About me
Having worked in publishing on an international scale, I have experience in content creation and editing particularly from an arts and culture oriented angle. I have helped to launch the internationally distributed title Marfa Journal as Managing Editor in addition to freelance writing work for platforms like Wax Poetics, Brick and Nowness. Having studied Film with particular emphasis on Production Design, I have developed a creatively geared mind in all my pursuits, with practical and theoretical knowledge to support it.
Projects
- Various short filmsThe first project I production designed - High Hopes starring Ashley Walters - screened at the Raindance Film Festival and Cannes Short Film Corner. It was a fantastic experience in working in a collaborative environment as the key contact between a senior team of producers and the creative department, ensuring that production goals are delivered on-time.
- Marfa JournalMarfa Journal #4 is 290 pages and has 8 cover variations. Commissioned interviews include business and pleasure talk with Hustler publisher Larry Flynt, actress Paz de la Huerta discussing her directing pursuits and many more. I also wrote and/or edited all copy. On the business side of the spectrum, I developed a solid distribution strategy for this issue which expanded into the Middle East and South America in early 2016. The issue's release was supported by a party in collaboration with NYC-based collective Baby's All Right during Miami Art Basel in December 2015.
