I am in charge of shifts on a day to day basis, and the running of the store. This also includes working with the sales targets and nance budgets for the store, on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. This role has allowed me to inject my passion for design by being in charge of Visual Merchandising for the Store, and managing the stores Social Media content; such as Twitter and Instagram. I often make promotional material for the store such as posters and updating the community board. The store is the busiest Starbucks in the UK, and managing a team here is a big achievement. I have performed well in this job, being awarded numerous awards for outstanding achievement, including placing Second place in the Aberdeen Starbucks Barista Championships in 2015.
GDFS is an annual seven-day Festival of design events that takes place in Glasgow in October. The Festival includes workshops, talks, exhibitions, conferences, competitions, projects, murals and music. The role included the setting up of all the events and making sure that everything was running smoothly and on time. I had to work e ciently to make sure that the participants have a memorable and enjoyable time. This role also included hosting industry professionals from around the world, and making sure they had everything they needed to complete their workshops and projects at the Festival. Some of these clients include Wieden and Kennedy, itsnicethat.com and Studio Morross.
