About me
I am an enthusiastic and self motivated graduate and throughout my studies there has always been particular focus on personal and professional development to activate a consistent mindset driven toward individual progression. This has pushed me through education and working life to develop a diverse skill set that I believe makes me a suitable candidate for this position. The most critical of these has to be the level of planning and organisation involved in most of my work which, usually involves a great deal of independent research and analysis in order to achieve the best results from the workload put in. I have been pursuing a career within economics and business ever since I started studying it and observing the world around us through an economic perspective. My wide passion for economics has been magnified throughout my studies at university where my course gave me opportunities to expand my knowledge into a broader context and where extra curricular societies along with world current affairs led me to discover what sort of direction I wanted to take it the next years of study and in my post graduate future. The key modules that I studied at university included: Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Global business context, Economic transformation of the third world, Multinational enterprise, Economics of globalisation, Economic epochs, Marketing and Accountancy. I strongly believe the most important factor in starting any career is to ensure that involvement of the role on a day to day basis is something of genuine interest which in turn will ensure there is passion and ambition about the career and the direction of it in the future. You can see from my CV that I have been relatively indecisive in recent years, however I believe that the transferable skills that I have developed throughout these roles make me a very qualified individual for any workplace. I am now looking to secure a new challenge in an industry that I am genuinely interested in and excited by within a role that will not require me to drink a cup of coffee in the morning just to make it to work because I will be naturally elated and motivated by my role that it won't feel like work. Outside of the workplace I have many hobbies and interests; my competitive side brings out my love for sport and i actively compete in football and tennis matches on a regular basis. I also have a strong passion for cooking and food which i constantly practice and experiment with at home. Finally, in my spare time I like to visit museums, photography and art exhibitions, festivals/live music events and reading of all kinds, from fiction/non-fiction, current affairs, world politics, sport and fashion articles.
