Graphic designer and Social media curatorTooth Eco

Working in an eco-friendly startup, where we offered a sustainable alternative to the plastic toothbrush, meant I saw myself take on a variety of roles and responsibilities. When I join Tooth.Eco earlier this year the company was still in the pre-launch stage, which lead me to work in an end-to-end design environment. In my day-to-day activities, I found myself leading the designing and curating of the social media page, packaging, and email campaigns, along with directing and organising photoshoots. In taking lead in these roles I saw myself faced with the heavy responsibility of turning these projects around with little time and resources. My role also saw me on occasions supporting the creation of motion graphics for adverts, as well as working on smaller and more personal UX projects (such as landing pages).

Living in lockdown and having recently lost my job due to the strain of the pandemic, I decided to fill my time with participating in this online course. It help keep my mind active and developing on my skill set, keeping them relevant to the world of UX, and also strength my confidence and help defeat that common mindset of imposter syndrome.
