An enthusiastic, highly creative and self-driven individual, I am currently at the university of the Arts, London about to finish studying a BA (Hons) in Public Relations. I am very passionate about branding and digital communications and am seeking opportunities to gain experience, insight and knowledge into the public relations, marketing and creative industries.
At Offbeat London I was responsible for sourcing, approaching and processing ticket sales for The MPG Awards 2016. This position vastly developed my understanding of events in the music industry, as well as allowing me to improve upon my sales, email and interpersonal skills. The role allowed me to comprehend the importance of relationship-building and coherent messaging in achieving measurable success.
I worked part time at a start-up alterations company reaching out to local businesses to secure trade partnerships. I was also responsible for creating social media content and creating interview questions for young entrepreneurs to feature on the forthcoming blog. I enjoyed working with a small start-up company and enjoyed having to think strategically in order to overcome some of the challenges small companies face when attempting to break into the wider business landscape.
At KINC, my general duties included: researching, seeding, producing coverage books and assisting with the organisation and execution of an event. http://diymag.com/2015/06/24/watch-peace-take-over-londons-hammersmith-palais-in-skullcandy-film http://www.mtv.co.uk/music-0/news/mtv-review-glamour-and-hits-as-peace-reopen-the-hammersmith-palais-for-one-more-night
My role at Moving Brands was to assist the marketing team in day-to-day activities including researching, social media, producing coverage books and newsletter content. Throughout my time at Moving Brands, I was lucky enough to observe the company’s entire branding process including research, brainstorms, development and delivery. I was involved in many of the preliminary creative discussions and in conducting initial in-depth research. I also was asked to write a blog post for the company website which was published in May 2015 (as seen below): http://www.movingbrands.com/news/mytimeatmb/
Working at Office hugely developed my interest in watching a company develop and expand, encouraging me to go on and learn more about strategic business planning. As a well-established high street chain, the business was constantly changing to remain current in a newly emerging business environment. This role allowed me to develop an understanding of tactical business activity, including analysing sales figures and requesting stock to appeal to a specific market. I was introduced to the importance of KPI’s along with the importance of brand management on a customer service level. In this role, I obtained two 100% mystery shopper results along with ‘Cashier Queen of the South’.
