Support the business intelligence team with predictive analytics and big data expertise across a number of client projects. • Developed a new forecasting method for organic search. It used machine learning to classify search terms into a complex product hierarchy at scale and regression to model customer click-through rates. • The project was Highly Commended at The Drum Search Awards 2017. • Assisted the business intelligence team with SQL and big data expertise. This included analysis of a large display advertising and loyalty card data set, revealing several opportunities for better customer targeting. • Provided web scraping and data extraction expertise to understand the effect of appointment availability on online booking. The data helped identify underperforming stores and poor customer experiences. • Led a machine learning workshop involving over 300 participants. The session introduced participants to machine learning with a hands-on activity where they used data to predict the survivors of the Titanic.

This involved coordinating with an in-house creative team to deliver engaging content. • Conducted a large-scale media coverage analysis of a leading online retailer. It looked at the number and quality of links earned by our client amongst its competitors, identifying editorial and outreach opportunities. • Developed a tool to download seasonal keyword search volumes at scale. This assisted in identifying content opportunities, revealing what customers are searching for and when, in a comprehensive way. • Led training sessions on data extraction using XPath and Google Sheets. It enabled analysts to crawl websites more effectively to identify optimisation opportunities.
