About me
For me, the most important aspect of marketing and branding is understanding your audience which is why I tend to focus on the struggles and joys of the individuals behind the “consumer profile”. This approach, combined with my varying creative skills, enables me to produce effective and relatable work. A straight-talking communicator, capable designer and strong copywriter, my skills are most effective when developing the messaging and visual identity for a brand or campaign. I have over three years’ experience in marketing and branding within the EdTech space, leading a team of seven creatives and marketers. After two years here I was presented with an outstanding achievement award because of my performance and dedication to the company. Outside of the nine-to-five, I freelance as a brand strategist, copywriter and designer. More recently, I travelled around Asia for four months where I discovered, ate and learned plenty. During my time abroad I wrote a hybrid travelling and health blog, Left Leg First, which focused and raised awareness on a medical condition I have called lymphoedema. I am now looking to kick-start the next chapter of my career in marketing and branding within an ambitious and honest organisation.

During my three years at e-Careers I grew a marketing department of one into a team of seven, split across designers and copywriters, as well as managing communications with our Mumbai tech team. With core skills in design, messaging and copywriting my position developed into a senior management role, sitting between marketers, copywriters and designers. I ensured the tone and voice of the brand was captured in every piece of marketing collateral, working closely with other departments to create an identity that reflected the needs of our target audience. My most recent project saw me developing the branding and messaging for the re-branding of e-Careers. This involved pitching to the board of directors, CEO and chairman of e-Careers our new identity, as well as overseeing the whole project from a messaging and branding perspective. Key responsibilities: - Messaging: Strategising the tone and voice of e-Careers - Copywriting: I wrote all copy across major on/offline collateral and main website - Marketing: Strategised, developed and implemented hundreds of campaigns across varying channels - Branding: Developed e-Careers' most recent brand strategy - Web design: Designed well over thirty e-commerce websites - Management of marketing and design team - Presenting and pitching internally to key stakeholders and externally to valued partners - Account management of over thirty major accounts - Sales enablement: Using Salesforce, I worked closely with sales team to inform and interpret stats and sales figures - Content management: Development and population of blogging/vlogging platform - Product management: Managed the life-cycle of new products - Web development: I communicated daily with our Mumbai based tech team as a mediator between design, sales and web development department

    Outstanding Achievement AwardE-Careers
Almost three years since my first day, after sculpting, recruiting and leading a marketing department of seven, I was given this award for my commitment, progression and influence on e-Careers. The organisation had never employed somebody for the role of creative nor marketing in the head office and I had the great pleasure of making it my own.
