It offers opportunities to creatively experiment with materials and processes, to promote debate through critically conceptual, speculative design, and to discover and solve genuine problems with innovative, research-led solutions.

Engaging through Action: Research strategies for people-centered design
Prototyping and design practice: innovation through boundary objects and intermediary devices The Business of Craft: addresses to the practical aspects of how to setup, promote, market, sell, communicate, fund, employ and sustain a contemporary design and craft practice.
Disseminating Design Cultures: By addressing the role of dissemination the course aims to critically examine the wider cultural contexts that inform the practice, focusing on the relationship between the production, distribution, consumption, mediation and exposition of the practice.
