Hi, I’m Kamon ! I am currently a MA printed textiles student at Royal College of Art in London. I am interested in narrating stories through my works, no matter what the medium or processes are, but my favourite things to work with is textile, writing, and photography. I also have a deep interest in philosophy, psychology, design activism and self-development.
Before moving to London, I was recognised for my fashion prints for leading Bangkok fashion houses and this blog , which I have been writing about fashion and fabrics that connect crafts, sustainability and culture in Thailand. In 2014, I won the CIMB Regional Scholarship which aims to help promote textile culture in South East Asia, leading to my study in London in 2015 to pursue an MA in Printed Textiles at the Royal College of Art.
I started Vanillawalk website in 2009 as an online platform and personal journal that focuses on conscious and thoughtful approach towards fashion, textiles, arts, crafts and culture. It was named top 5 influential fashion blogs of Thailand by LifeStyleAsia in 2014.

- Derailed Research LabDerailed Research Lab is an interdisciplinary research project founded with the aim of using a series of very long distance journeys along with design and art methodologies and practices to explore and document the geopolitical forces, spaces and times which shape the contemporary world. I participated as designer and researcher in the first expedition: The Trans Siberian Railway. The train journey became the laboratory in which we recorded our thoughts through writing, drawing and filming. There were seminars, workshops, discussions and performances. The carriage was an ideal observation post from which to witness changes in landscapes, societies and selves. There were periods of intense working, compression and collectivization combined with expansive moments, long walks and new readings. Our research traversed eight different time zones of a simultaneously modern and archaic landscape. From St. Petersburg to Vladivostok we reinvented the political-economical and socio-environmental relations of a vast spatial formation. Vladivostok that strange Pacific Ocean port and city which is today finding a new life as it becomes the Las Vegas of the east, following from Russia’s desire to conquer the Far East, this post soviet city emerges as a clash between future and past ideology, as a free economic area where western nations can play out their own identity crisis. From Vladivostok we headed back to the Strelka Institute in Moscow to present and share our findings with a lecture, performance and publication. Derailed Research Lab is founded by Jon Goodbun and Raluca Cirstoc

Self-initiated project of an online journal with a focus on conscious and thoughtful approach towards fashion, textiles, arts, crafts and culture. Named top 5 influential fashion blogs of Thailand.
It started in 2009 as an online journal, a photo diary, a collection of personal works, illustrations, photography, visual inspirations, whatever I find pleasing for eyes and ears. The name came from my belief that life is a fine line we are living on, so let’s walk a bit slower that we can smell some inspirations around.

London, United Kingdom
Trained as a fashion and printed textiles designer with a 360˚ mindset,
I am strong in both physical and digital process and have a great balance of creativity and pragmatism. Focused on critical thinking and conscious approach to making, my practice is often led by deep research that thrives to narrate meaningful stories through materials and process. It is often inspired by nature and human free-spirit that act a response to politics and material culture.
I am also prospective researcher in sustainable textiles with a particular focus on prints, materials experiment, traditional craft methods, innovative techniques and the role of designers as 'social innovators'.
