I am the Editor of my own online media publication entitled 14HQ. Besides overseeing the general progression of the publication as a whole, my main work and passion resides with Music Journalism and Photography. My passion lies in interviewing artists while capturing iconic and memorable moments with artists and all creatives. In my role as Social Media Executive, my responsibilities include: • Creating, posting and scheduling content for client’s social media pages; predominantly Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, using Hootsuite when necessary. These clients include: 5* Montcalm Luxury Hotels, Park Grand Hotels, Shaftsbury Hotels, Handlery Hotels, World Tourism Services, In Car Music, Icing Digital and many more. • Coming up with effective campaign ideas to promote throughout the month on social media, with the aim of increasing overall traffic, engagement and following on pages. • Promoting these campaigns on social media using paid ads, along with monitoring the progression and overall success of these ads and making an executive decision if the ad needs to be pulled or budget to be increased. • Creating and presenting social media proposals for potential clients. • Creating monthly reports using Sprout Social to monitor how each social media page is doing in comparison to the previous month, then forwarding the reports directly to clients with spreadsheet analysis. • Visiting hotels during events to promote and post on social media throughout, using Facebook and Instagram Live, along with Instagram stories. • Use Photoshop to create graphics and GIFS to be posted on social media platforms, usually for campaigns or special occasion days such as Father’s Day and Easter. • Surfing through social media pages to find User Generated Content which can be reposted on client’s social media pages. • Monitoring and replying to any comments, mentions or direct messages that have been sent to the social media platforms. • Delegating tasks amongst myself and Social Media Apprentices, making sure that workload is equal and can be done effectively and within deadlines.
As a freelance photographer, I have - • Shot for musicians during concerts and festivals. I have shot for the likes of Migos, Dr. Dre, Lil Uzi Vert, PARTYNEXTDOOR, T-Pain, plus many, many others. • I have shot entire campaigns for brands and magazines such as; Notion Magazine Summer Party, Law Magazine x New Era campaign and The Swimwear Studio. • I have shot up close and personal for artists such as Anne Marie, A$AP Twelvyy, Buddy, Jamie Isaac, King Krule, SAINt JHN, Cosmo Pyke plus many others.
As a freelance writer, my work has been published in local, national and global publications. These include: • A feature article and interview with producer and artist ‘July 7’ published on Clash Music • 2 football related articles published in GIVEMESPORT, a sports media page with over 26 million Facebook likes and 88,000 Instagram followers. • 3 articles a week uploaded to LinkUpTV; a platform with 460,000 Instagram followers. • An interview I conducted with Punk band ‘Big Joanie’ was published in LouderThanWar; a Rock and Roll music publication with over 30,000 Twitter followers. • 4 articles (3 music related and 1 fashion related) published in Noctis Magazine, a media publication with over 18,000 Instagram followers. • 2 interviews I conducted with apparel brands ‘Marino Morwood’ and ‘Coldsoul UK’ published in MSKF Magazine; A men’s streetwear and apparel magazine created and published in New York City.
An original member of the online publication 14HQ (www.14hq.co.uk), for which I am currently the Content Manager. My responsibilities include: • Writing articles related, but not limited to, fashion, music, sport, lifestyle and entertainment. • Setting up and conducting interviews with people and corporations within their respective industries. These have included Grammy Award winning producer S1, artist Jamie Isaac, apparel brand Marino Morwood, London Fashion Week model Benji Colson and motivational speaker Hayley Mulenda. • Using social media and digital marketing to create and establish a consistent brand image, which helps create a following and attract people of all ages, genders, ethnicities and backgrounds to the website. • Coming up with the best and most eye catching captions to draw attention and increase engagement. • Liaising and holding meetings with potential business partners, investors and collaborators. • Being responsible for all the content that is to be uploaded on the site before it is released to the public. • Using a WordPress Content Management System to constantly upload and update the site on a daily basis. • Using Web Analytics such as Google Analytics, and Facebook Insights to monitor traffic to the website on a daily, weekly and monthly basis and monitor how the number of visitors has changed over time, and researching why this is. • Critically analyzing, proofreading and editing any articles that are to be posted on the publication by other writers. • Posting any relevant updates on 14HQ’s social media accounts, particularly Facebook and Instagram. • Using Photoshop to edit, alter and color correct any images that are uploaded to the site, making sure all images are positioned correctly and appropriate size. • Helping organize and run any event that 14HQ hosts or is a part of.
