I am responsible for the allocation of stock for 100-120 Apricot concessions across the U.K and I style products for the allocators look book. This is a job with a tight deadlines every week and demands a knowledge of trends, being able to make commercial decisions, communicate with many different store managers and staff at all levels and being able to problem solve any queries my concessions may have. This is a highly demanding role but it is a great challenge and I am confident your company will benefit from this experience.
I worked at Urban Outfitters as a Visual Merchandising Manager. This was a fantastic experience as I was responsible for the visual merchandising of their Dublin store. This involved managing a team of visual merchandisers, designing the floor layout, analysing figures to improve sales and it being a key responsibility in the role, window display, styling mannequins, creating on trend looks threw out the store, training staff.
I participated in meetings with the Image Director, Visual Manager, Buyers, Shop Floor Managers and freelance visual merchandisers to create theatrical displays while still being commercial oriented. I was proactive in my approach to deadlines in the installation process and in problem solving. In-store I worked in the fallowing departments beauty, accessories, women’s fashion, way in(young fashions), sportswear, windows fashion, dealing with all the luxury brands you would expect in a prestigious store like Harrods.
