  • Freelancer. Helping companies with their social media needs, blog writing and search engine optimisation. Worked closely with The Real Cider Company - using social media to identify festival leads for both retail and wholesale. Also used different social media channels to support and promote festivals that Real Cider Co attended or supplied to, giving an edge over competitors. I also used their social media accounts to develop relationships with new and existing customers, and promoted the range of ciders and Cider of the Month to drive traffic to the website.

  • Digital ExPRESSion is a group of young people using different means to report on events in Calderdale. It includes journalists, photographers, film-makers, bloggers etc. Helping to develop Calderdale's Youth Hub website. My role: Creating digital content for young people in Calderdale & managing the social media (Twitter, Facebook, Hootsuite). Using Wordpress to build and develop new blogs for young people to add content to. These blogs are then added to a Youth Routes multi-site.   • Main responsibility areas: Enriching the visitor experience by providing consistently high level of customer service. Special Projects: Social Media Assistant Using Eureka! The National Children's Museum Twitter feed to promote special events held at Eureka!, such as Pyjama Drama classes and Halifax Mini Maker Fayre. In September 2014, started building and developing the Eureka! Coporate Twitter feed in order to generate leads for the Business Development Manager. Assistant to the Business Development Manager: Duties include: scheduling, overseeing and troubleshooting events in the absence of the Business Development Manager; organising and running corporate events such as meetings, conferences and away-days; data-inputting and research for funding for Playfest 2013. Helping Hands Project Assistant Includes supporting families with disabled children in their visits (Extra Pair of Hands), running Holiday Clubs and Saturday clubs. Worked closely with the Forget-Me-Not Children's Hospice to run fun sessions for the siblings of children in contact with the charity. Training received: Disability Awareness, Sign Language, Down Syndrome Awareness, Autism training to deliver additional support to young people with disabilities. Events team Performing educational and entertaining workshops for school groups and families both inside the museum, at schools and at festivals. Working closely with the Play Enabler to develop a workshop for Playfest 2013. Volunteer Mentor Responsible for overseeing and mentoring volunteers during Playfest 2013. Aim to develop the confidence and motivation of the young volunteers, and give an understanding of the benefits of volunteering to their futures. Role extended during academic term to include Work Placement students.
