About me
As a curator and writer my ambition is to work with and learn directly from contemporary artists. I believe these artists are at the frontline of current affairs and culture, providing the means for us to understand our own function and position in the world today. The boundaries, or the lack thereof, between artist, technology and audience are crucial to my research and practice as a curator and writer. I choose to delve into the minds and lives of artists to further explore these dynamics to create affecting, critical, exhibitions. I am experienced in creative, planning and organizational positions. My previous positions as Marketing Director of Café Kubal and Vice President of The Curation Society at Central Saint Martins, have proven that I am determined, committed and an effective, empathetic communicator. I thrive in team environments where collaboration and flexibility are encouraged. My duties have varied from organizing transportation schedules, maintaining budgets, and communicating effectively within teams.

  • This New Feeling
This New FeelingAs a recent graduate of BA (Hons) Criticism, Curation & Communication, I was part of a core team of 5 curators for our degree show, This New Feeling as a part of Central Saint Martins Degree Shows 2. This New Feeling was inspired by the emerging paradigm, Metamodernism and today’s generation of ‘nostalgic futurists’. The exhibition examined the way in which boundaries have become increasingly blurred between tradition and modernity in contemporary art practices. There were 3 core groups who made the exhibition programme an exciting and successful one. The exhibition team organised a week-long exhibition, including 14 artists such as Luke Turner. The online publication hosted interviews with the artists from the exhibition, as well as an array of multi-media articles engaging with themes proposed by Metamodernism. Whilst the events team organised a talk on What is Metamodernism? with Robin van den Akker, a leading cultural theorist on Metamodernism. The event served to contextualist the exhibition, publication and general concept driving the programme.
