About me
Having graduated from The Royal College of Art with an Interior Design MA last month, I am now working as a freelance Spatial Designer in London, for an exhibition which is opening in September 2021. With a strong passion for conceptual design, I am looking for positions that allow for plentiful creativity and conceptual thinking in practices such as set design, exhibition design, and interior architecture. With a background in Illustration, graduating from Norwich University of the Arts with a First Degree Honours in 2017, visual communication and storytelling became the foundation to the way I approach the design of space. When working to a creative brief, constructing narratives that identify the subject matter allows me to shape environments which innovatively communicate the concept with attention to detail. Alongside this, my curiosity in Environmental Psychology and Psychoevolutionary research greatly informs my values as a Spatial Designer; with my dissertation looking at the Psychology of the Cafe space, and my thesis titled 'Healing Spaces' which analyses existing spaces of healthcare to decipher whether their design hindered or aided the healing process in regards to areas of research stated above. I am dedicated to designing environments which are human-centric and science-informed to implement the principles of well-being and positively engage the users of the space.
