About me
Kate moved from dancing on the stage, to hiding behind a camera, to designing multiplayer story worlds across networks. She is an experienced creative producer, documentary storyteller, researcher and designer especially interested in exploring immersive installations as an intersection of the skills collected across screen, theatre, dance and games. Kate is the founder of DOTDOT, an award-winning creative collective specialising in experiential and emergent technologies. Exploring the boundaries of technology, art and design, they create spaces that are memorable, playful, interactive and curious.

We are thrilled to see the immersive Climate Converter installation we created with Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa celebrated on the global stage. The Art & Design category celebrates projects using design as the vehicle to shake up conversations surrounding society’s most pressing issues. We are humbled to be alongside the other incredible finalists making positive change in the world. Here’s to continuing to create impact both inside and outside the museum walls.
