Sort books, publications, and other items according to established procedure and return them to shelves, files, or other designated storage areas. Assist with opening and closing procedures. Instruct patrons on how to use reference sources, card catalogs, and automated information systems. Answer routine inquiries, and refer patrons in need of professional assistance to librarians. Assist in the withdrawal of old books from the library catalog. Tag books, magazines, and periodicals for new self check out services and new security system. Input statistics regarding number of patrons using the special collections. Operate all computers, printers, and software applicable to the library. Assist students with printing problems. Organize collections. Scan collections. Clerical work.
