About me
I am a visual artist and designer based in London. I have gained professional experience working within the arts and visual culture sector, including cultural management, creating new creative strategies for business, e-commerce, visual merchandising as well as curating and teaching contemporary art. I design my own fashion accessories for distribution in retail outlets and formulate socially-engaged projects utilising sustainable energy resources. This work involves planning promotional strategies and researching relevant areas of interest to further extend my projects within the social sphere. I consider my practice to be in a constant state of flux, incorporating new media, technology and design.
Projects
  • Solar Plants
Solar PlantsHow can art, science and new solar cell technologies work together to suggest new aesthetically appealing construction, which could inspire people to use solar energy? In a world where ‘energy efficient’ and ‘sustainable’ have become household terms, it is necessary to identify how new energy saving technologies will effect and be integrated into our lives. With the rapid pace of these developments, many are not even given the chance to understand the potential of some of these advancements. In
  • Emerald City
Emerald CityThis installation was made for the group exhibition 'in&outboard' on the Le Sollere boat on Canary Wharf in London, 2012. Through a juxtaposition of still imagery and video projection I attempt to explore the relationship between space and time, architecture and an ideal society. I aim to create an ambiguous reflection on a futuristic society, suggested by the architectural landscape of Canary Wharf. By using bold strict lines combined with natural elements such as the river water, the sky and clouds; I attempt to emphasize the contrast between the changing states in nature and the static presence of building constructions.
  • Limited Edition Scarves
Limited Edition ScarvesThis is a new collection of limited-edition silk scarves incorporating a variety of designs inspired by the urban landscape of Athens and London. In a playful spirit, architectural elements are combined with colourful forms that suggest the vitality of the contemporary city. Each design comes in an edition of 20. Made in Greece with 100% natural silk. My scarves are now available at the Saatchi Store in London.

Applied Imagination in the Creative Industries
     -
MA Applied Imagination in the Creative Industries is of the Culture and Enterprise programme. The learning and teaching approaches are based on the methodologies of peer learning, reflective practice and action research. Many postgraduate courses around the world make use of these techniques, but MA Applied Imagination in the Creative Industries places them at the very heart of its learning strategy. The course utilizes a two-step strategy (Application and Imagination) to enable students to develop and apply new creative knowledge.
